EICRs and electrical testing in West Cornwall
From Camborne and Redruth down to Penzance, St Ives and Helston, we inspect rented homes, holiday lets and business premises. Your report arrives within 24 hours of the visit.
Electrical testing in the far west
Much of West Cornwall's housing is older stone and granite property, and many homes are let as holiday accommodation or second homes. That mix brings its own issues, and we look for them on every inspection.
- Salt air: outside sockets, lighting and garage consumer units near the coast corrode faster than inland ones.
- Older wiring: cottages that have been extended over the years often have a mix of old and new circuits.
- Holiday lets: there isn't the same legal five-year rule as for long-term lets, but many letting agencies and insurers ask for a current EICR. We can usually test between bookings.
